Biography
David Cheston Rouzer, born on February 16, 1972, in Landstuhl, West Germany, is a Republican politician serving as the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 7th Congressional District since 2015. Raised in Durham, North Carolina, he developed a strong work ethic working summers on his family's farm near Four Oaks. Rouzer's political career includes roles as a legislative aide and senior policy advisor to U.S. Senators Jesse Helms and Elizabeth Dole. He also served two terms in the North Carolina State Senate from 2009 to 2012, representing Johnston and Wayne counties. In Congress, Rouzer has been recognized as an effective conservative member, earning accolades such as the Award for Excellence from the American Conservative Union.
