David Schweikert, born on March 3, 1962, in Los Angeles, California, is a Republican politician representing Arizona's 1st congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. Raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, he has served in various public offices, including the Arizona State House of Representatives and as Maricopa County Treasurer. In Congress, Schweikert has been a member of the Ways and Means Committee and has held leadership roles such as Chairman of the Oversight Subcommittee and Vice Chairman of the Joint Economic Committee. He is known for his work on tax reform, healthcare policy, and technological innovation.
