Gwendolynne Sophia Moore, born on April 18, 1951, in Racine, Wisconsin, is a Democratic politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Wisconsin's 4th Congressional District since 2005. She is the first African American elected to Congress from Wisconsin and the first woman to represent the 4th District. Moore has been a steadfast advocate for marginalized communities, focusing on issues such as women's rights, economic development, and social justice.
