James B. "Jamie" Eldridge is a Democrat representing the Middlesex and Worcester District in the Massachusetts State Senate since January 2009, covering 12-14 communities in MetroWest including Acton , Marlborough, Ayer, Boxborough, Hudson, Littleton, Maynard, and Shirley. He previously served as State Representative for the 37th Middlesex District from 2003-2008, elected as the only publicly-financed "Clean Elections" candidate in Massachusetts history in 2002. Notable achievements include chairing the Senate Clean Energy, Criminal Justice Reform, Medicare For All, and MBTA Caucuses; serving as Senate Chair of the Joint Committee on the Judiciary and Vice-Chair of Election Laws ; and advocating for public education, transportation, climate action, healthcare access, criminal justice reform, campaign ethics, environmental protection, and economic stimulus.
