Biography
Jared Forrest Golden, born on July 25, 1982, in Lewiston, Maine, is a Democratic politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Maine's 2nd congressional district since 2019. Raised in Leeds, Maine, Golden enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2002, serving two combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. After his military service, he pursued higher education and began a career in public service. Golden resides in Lewiston with his wife, Isobel, and their two daughters.
