Jenny Armini is a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the 8th Essex District, which includes parts of Lynn, and the towns of Marblehead and Swampscott. Elected in 2022 after winning a competitive six-way Democratic primary and an uncontested general election, she has served for over two years as of late 2025, focusing on issues like public education, healthcare, reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and coastal challenges such as rising sea levels. A longtime Marblehead resident of more than 20 years, she is a mother and community activist known for bipartisan collaboration and policy advocacy.

Notable achievements include helping pass legislation for universal free school meals for all public school students in Massachusetts, which she considers a career highlight, and strengthening child support enforcement laws during her time at the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.

Education and Political Experience

Armini's political career began as a senior legislative aide on Capitol Hill, followed by work at the Massachusetts Department of Revenue on child support enforcement. She has extensive experience in campaigns and public policy advocacy in Massachusetts and Washington, D.C., before launching her own successful 2022 campaign for the 8th Essex seat.
