Biography
John Boozman, born on December 10, 1950, in Shreveport, Louisiana, is a Republican politician serving as the senior United States Senator from Arkansas since 2011. Raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas, he co-founded a private optometry clinic in 1977, providing eye care services to Northwest Arkansas. Boozman has been a consistent advocate for veterans, agriculture, and economic policies supporting small businesses. He is married to Cathy Marley, and they have three daughters and four grandchildren.

- Attended the University of Arkansas, where he played football for the Razorbacks.
- Graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in 1977.

- Served two terms on the Rogers Public School Board.
- Elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2001, representing Arkansas's 3rd district until 2011.
- Elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010; re-elected in 2016 and 2022.
