Biography
John Moolenaar, born on May 8, 1961, in Midland, Michigan, is a Republican politician representing Michigan's 2nd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He has served in Congress since 2015, initially representing the 4th District before redistricting placed him in the 2nd District in 2023. Prior to his tenure in Congress, Moolenaar served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2003 to 2008 and the Michigan State Senate from 2011 to 2014. His early career includes roles as a chemist at Dow Chemical Company and as director of the Small Business Center for the Middle Michigan Development Corporation. Moolenaar and his wife, Amy, have six children and reside in Michigan.
