Biography

John Williams Rose, born on February 23, 1965, in Cookeville, Tennessee, is an American politician and businessman serving as the U.S. Representative for Tennessee's 6th congressional district since 2019. A member of the Republican Party, Rose has a diverse background as a farmer, attorney, and entrepreneur. He co-founded Transcender Corp., an IT certification company, and later became the owner and president of Boson Software, LLC, which specializes in training IT professionals. In 2002, Rose served as Tennessee's Commissioner of Agriculture. He is also an eighth-generation farmer, managing his family's farm in Temperance Hall, Tennessee.
