Biography
Kathy Manning is an American politician and attorney who served as the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 6th Congressional District from 2021 to 2025. Born on December 3, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, she earned her Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School. In 1987, Manning moved to Greensboro, North Carolina, where she practiced law and became deeply involved in community service. She was the first woman to chair the Board of the Jewish Federations of North America and played a pivotal role in establishing the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Greensboro.
