Biography
Elizabeth Ann Fletcher , born on February 13, 1975, in Houston, Texas, is an American attorney and politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Texas's 7th Congressional District since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, she is the first woman and first Democrat to represent this district, which includes parts of southwestern Houston and Harris County, as well as northern portions of Fort Bend County.

- Bachelor of Arts in History from Kenyon College, graduated with highest honors and elected to Phi Beta Kappa in 1997.
- Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School, where she served as editor-in-chief of the William and Mary Law Review and graduated in 2006.

- Elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018, defeating nine-term Republican incumbent John Culberson.
- Re-elected in 2020 and 2022, with the latter victory benefiting from redistricting that shifted her district to a more Democratic-leaning constituency.
