Lloyd Alton Doggett II, born on October 6, 1946, in Austin, Texas, is an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Texas's 37th congressional district since 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, Doggett has had a distinguished career in public service, including roles as a Texas State Senator and a Justice of the Texas Supreme Court . He has been a steadfast advocate for progressive policies, focusing on education, healthcare, and tax reform. Doggett is married to Libby Doggett, and they have two daughters and four grandchildren.
