Lydia Glaize comes from a family of sharecroppers from Georgia and Alabama who moved to New Jersey in the 1950s. A proud mother of seven, she began contributing to her family's welfare at age seven. As a community leader, she served as Labor Liaison for United Way of Greater Atlanta and held local roles including city council member and mayor pro-tem in Fairburn. Elected in 2022, she represents District 67 with a focus on youth, education, economy, environmental sustainability, and seniors.
