Marc Veasey, born on January 3, 1971, in Fort Worth, Texas, is a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives, serving Texas's 33rd Congressional District since 2013. He is dedicated to advocating for middle-class families, focusing on job creation, public education improvement, immigration reform, and access to quality healthcare and women's reproductive rights.
In Congress, Veasey has held several leadership roles, including serving on the Energy and Commerce Committee and the House Armed Services Committee. He founded the Congressional Voting Rights Caucus to address voting barriers and co-launched the Blue Collar Caucus to support unions and address issues like wage stagnation and job insecurity.
Before his congressional tenure, Veasey served in the Texas State House from 2005 to 2013, representing District 95. During this time, he held positions such as Democratic Whip and Chair of the Democratic Caucus, championing causes like affordable healthcare, better school funding, and livable wages.
