Mark Edward Green, born on November 8, 1964, in Jacksonville, Florida, is an American politician, physician, and retired U.S. Army officer. He has served as the U.S. Representative for Tennessee's 7th congressional district since January 3, 2019. A member of the Republican Party, Green was appointed Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security in January 2023. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Tennessee State Senate from 2013 to 2018, representing the 22nd district.

Green's military career began after his graduation from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1986. He served as an infantry officer and later as a special operations flight surgeon with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment . During his service, he participated in the capture of Saddam Hussein, an experience he detailed in his book, A Night with Saddam. His military honors include the Bronze Star and the Air Medal with "V" device for valor.

After retiring from the military in 2006, Green founded an emergency department staffing company that grew to over $200 million in annual revenue. He also established two free medical clinics serving underprivileged communities in Memphis and Clarksville, Tennessee.

In February 2024, Green announced he would not seek re-election, expressing frustrations with the state of Congress and Washington, D.C.
