About

Mary Angela Lehman is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 21 . She was first elected in 2018, sworn in on January 9, 2019, and reelected in 2022. Lehman serves on the Environment and Transportation Committee, with subcommittees including Environment , Land Use and Ethics , and Local Government and Bi-County Agencies . Her legislative priorities include environment, clean energy, clean water, flood control, animal welfare, and tenant protections. Notable prior roles include Prince George's County Council , where she chaired committees on Transportation, Housing and Environment and Health, Education and Human Services . Awards include the Maloney Environmental Service Award from the Sierra Club and Local Elected Official of the Year from the Maryland Food Access and Nutrition Network . She lives in West Laurel with her husband Dale and is the parent of four adult children.
