Biography
Maxine Elizabeth Dexter, M.D., born on December 5, 1972, in Bothell, Washington, is a Democratic politician and physician serving as the U.S. Representative for Oregon's 3rd Congressional District since January 3, 2025. She grew up in a working-class family and became the first in her family to graduate from college. Dexter began her medical career as a pulmonologist and critical care physician at Kaiser Permanente in Hillsboro, Oregon. She also served as the first woman Chair of the Board of Directors at Northwest Permanente.

Political Experience
