Biography
Walter Michael "Mike" Ezell, born on April 6, 1959, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, is a Republican politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Mississippi's 4th Congressional District since January 3, 2023. Before his congressional tenure, Ezell dedicated over 42 years to law enforcement, culminating in his role as Sheriff of Jackson County from 2014 to 2022. His law enforcement career included positions such as Chief of Police in Ocean Springs and Chief of Detectives in Pascagoula.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern Mississippi, earned while attending night school during his full-time service with the Pascagoula Police Department.
