Nader J. Sayegh is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly representing District 90, which includes parts of Yonkers. Born on August 30, 1952, in Mafraq, Jordan, he has been a longtime resident of Yonkers since childhood. Married to Sana, Sayegh has dedicated nearly 40 years to public service in education, law, health care, municipal services, and multiculturalism. Elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2020, he focuses on improving quality of life, advocating for homeowners, small businesses, and equitable city services. Notable achievements include sponsoring and co-sponsoring hundreds of bills, voting to expand the Excelsior Scholarship for tuition-free college, and supporting the New York State DREAM Act for undocumented students' access to grants. He serves on the Assembly Education Committee to reform state funding formulas.
