Biography

Nick Langworthy, born on February 27, 1981, in Jamestown, New York, is a Republican politician serving as the U.S. Representative for New York's 23rd Congressional District since January 3, 2023. The district encompasses Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben Counties, as well as parts of Erie and Niagara Counties. Prior to his congressional tenure, Langworthy was the Chairman of the New York State Republican Committee from 2019 to 2023, becoming the youngest person to hold that position. He also served as the Chairman of the Erie County Republican Committee from 2010 to 2019. Langworthy's political career is marked by his commitment to conservative principles and his efforts to strengthen the Republican Party in New York.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Langworthy graduated from Pine Valley Central School in 1999 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Niagara University, where he established the university's branch of the College Republicans.

• Early Political Career:

  • Interned at Governor George Pataki's office and managed a congressional campaign in 2000.
  • Served as a staffer for Congressman Thomas M. Reynolds, managing his successful reelection campaigns in 2004 and 2006.
