Biography
Ron Estes, born on July 19, 1956, in Topeka, Kansas, is a fifth-generation Kansan currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Kansas' 4th Congressional District. A member of the Republican Party, he has held this position since April 25, 2017, succeeding Mike Pompeo. Prior to his congressional tenure, Estes served as the Kansas State Treasurer from 2011 to 2017 and as the Sedgwick County Treasurer from 2004 to 2010.
Before entering public service, Estes had a career in consulting and management roles across various industries, including aerospace, energy, and manufacturing. His professional experience includes positions at Procter & Gamble, Koch Industries, and Bombardier Learjet.
In Congress, Representative Estes has been involved in passing significant tax reforms, reducing regulatory burdens, and implementing trade agreements beneficial to Kansas' economy. He has also focused on supporting the aviation industry in Wichita, advancing agricultural interests through the Farm Bill, and promoting pro-life policies.
