A fifth-generation Kansan born on July 19, 1956, and the son of a veteran, he has focused on tax reform, deregulation, trade agreements like the USMCA, defending Wichita's aviation industry, supporting agriculture via the Farm Bill, protecting water resources, advancing pro-life policies such as the Title X Protect Life Rule, and aiding military families and veterans.
