Biography
Ronnie C. Crudup Jr., born on June 12, 1977, in Jackson, Mississippi, is a Democratic member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 71 since March 18, 2019. He is also the Executive Director of New Horizon Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on community development in south Jackson.
Education and Political Experience
Education: Graduated from Murrah High School; earned a Bachelor of Science in History from Belhaven University in 2006.

- Elected to the Mississippi House of Representatives in a 2019 special election, succeeding Adrienne Wooten.
- Re-elected in 2019 and 2023, running unopposed in both general elections.
- Ran for mayor of Jackson in 2017, placing fifth in a field of nine candidates.

- Community Development: Spearheaded the reopening of the Hertz Swimming Pool in south Jackson, which had been closed for three years, and successfully managed its operations for five years.
