Scott Harvey Peters, born on June 17, 1958, in Springfield, Ohio, is an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. Representative for California's 50th Congressional District since 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, Peters has a distinguished career in public service, including roles as San Diego's first City Council President and Chair of the San Diego Unified Port District.
