Steven S. Howitt is a Republican member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the 4th Bristol district . Elected in 2010 and serving since 2011, he is a third-generation Seekonk resident, business owner, and advocate for accountability with over 30 years of public service. Happily married to Pam Tesler Howitt since 1990, he holds key committee roles including Ranking Minority on the Joint Committee on Transportation, and serves on Ethics, Steering, Policy and Scheduling, Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure, and Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy.

Education and Political Experience

  • Education: Graduate with a BS/BA from Boston University's School of Management.
  • Political Experience:
    • State Representative, 4th Bristol District .
    • Previously served two terms on the Seekonk Planning Board and one term on the Seekonk Board of Selectmen; appointed to Seekonk Cable and Recycling Committees.
    • Active volunteer with civic organizations.
