Suhas Subramanyam, born on September 26, 1986, in Houston, Texas, is an American politician and attorney serving as the U.S. Representative for Virginia's 10th Congressional District since January 3, 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, he made history as the first Indian-American and South Asian to represent Virginia in Congress. Prior to his congressional tenure, Subramanyam served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2020 to 2024 and in the Virginia State Senate from 2024 to 2025.

Subramanyam's parents immigrated from Bengaluru and Chennai, India, in pursuit of the American dream. His mother arrived in the United States through Dulles Airport, which is located in the district he now represents. This personal connection underscores his commitment to serving the diverse communities of Northern Virginia.

Throughout his career, Subramanyam has focused on improving the health, safety, and prosperity of all Americans. His legislative efforts have included passing landmark bills to lower toll costs, reduce utility bills, and increase prescription drug price transparency. He also co-founded the bipartisan "Commonwealth Caucus" to foster collaboration across party lines.
