Biography
Susie Lee, born Suzanne Marie Kelley on November 7, 1966, in Canton, Ohio, is a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives, serving Nevada's 3rd congressional district since January 3, 2019. Raised in a working-class family of ten, her father was a Korean War veteran and structural engineer, and her mother was a homemaker. Lee moved to Las Vegas in 1993, where she became deeply involved in education and community service. She served as the founding director of After-School All-Stars Las Vegas and later as president of Communities In Schools of Nevada, focusing on dropout prevention and student support.
