Biography

Tony Sorrentino, born on July 26, 1954, in Omaha, Nebraska, is a Republican politician representing District 39 in the Nebraska State Senate. He assumed office on January 8, 2025, succeeding term-limited Senator Lou Ann Linehan. Sorrentino resides in Elkhorn, Nebraska, with his wife, Kate; they have four children and six grandchildren. He has a diverse professional background, including roles as an attorney, certified public accountant, and certified employee benefits specialist. He served as General Counsel, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and President at SilverStone Group, a large insurance brokerage firm. Additionally, Sorrentino is the founder and president of Health Plan Fiduciary Compliance, a firm advising health plans on federal law compliance. He is also an adjunct professor of law at Creighton University. ,
