Gerald Wesley "Jerry" Moran, born on May 29, 1954, in Great Bend, Kansas, is a Republican politician serving as the senior United States Senator from Kansas since 2011. Raised in Plainville, Kansas, he has dedicated his career to public service, emphasizing agricultural policy, veterans' affairs, and technological innovation.
