Biography

Josh Harder, born on August 1, 1986, in Turlock, California, is a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives, serving California's 9th congressional district since 2023. He previously represented the 10th district from 2019 to 2023. Harder's family has deep roots in the Central Valley, with his great-great-grandfather settling in Manteca during the Gold Rush era. Before entering politics, Harder worked as a venture capital investor and taught business at Modesto Junior College. He resides in Tracy, California, with his wife, Pam, and their daughters, Lillian and Karina.
