Biography
Timothy Lee Walberg, born on April 12, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, is a Republican politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Michigan's 5th congressional district. He has held this position since 2023, following his tenure representing Michigan's 7th district from 2007 to 2009 and again from 2011 to 2023. Prior to his congressional service, Walberg was a member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 1983 to 1999. His early career includes roles as a pastor in Michigan and Indiana, president of the Warren Reuther Center for Education and Community Impact, and division manager for the Moody Bible Institute. Walberg is married to Sue, and they have three children and seven grandchildren.
