Todd Christopher Young, born on August 24, 1972, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is a Republican politician serving as the senior United States Senator from Indiana since 2017. He previously represented Indiana's 9th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2011 to 2017. Young is recognized for his bipartisan approach, notably co-authoring the CHIPS and Science Act to bolster domestic semiconductor manufacturing and reduce reliance on foreign supply chains.
