Biography
Jefferson Shreve, born on September 24, 1965, in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a Republican politician representing Indiana's 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He was sworn into the 119th Congress on January 3, 2025. Prior to his congressional tenure, Shreve founded and expanded Storage Express into a leading self-storage company with over 125 facilities across six states. In 2022, he sold the company to Extra Space Storage for $590 million and subsequently served on its board of directors.
Shreve's political career includes two terms on the Indianapolis City-County Council, representing District 23 from 2013 to 2016 and District 16 from 2018 to 2020. In 2023, he ran for mayor of Indianapolis, focusing on addressing crime and public safety, though he was not elected.
