Biography
Mark Alford, born on October 4, 1963, in Baytown, Texas, is a Republican politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Missouri's 4th Congressional District since January 3, 2023. Before entering politics, Alford had a 35-year career in television journalism, including 23 years as a morning news anchor for Kansas City's Fox 4 News. His extensive experience in media connected him with Missourians from diverse backgrounds, providing him with insights into the issues most important to Missouri families.
Alford's transition from journalism to politics was driven by his desire to address what he perceives as attacks against the nation's founding principles from progressive ideologies. He aims to serve as a voice for the constituents of Missouri's 4th District, advocating for values such as faith, family, hard work, and individual liberty.
