Biography
Michael T. McCaul, born on January 14, 1962, in Dallas, Texas, is a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives, serving Texas's 10th Congressional District since 2005. The district spans from Lake Travis to the Brazos Valley, encompassing parts of Austin and surrounding counties. Prior to his congressional tenure, McCaul held positions as Chief of Counter-Terrorism and National Security in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Texas, Deputy Attorney General of Texas, and a federal prosecutor in the Department of Justice's Public Integrity Section. He is married to Linda Mays McCaul, daughter of Clear Channel Communications founder Lowry Mays, and they have five children.
