Biography
Zoe Lofgren has been a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives since 1995, representing California's 18th District, which includes communities in Monterey, San Benito, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties. Born on December 21, 1947, in San Mateo, California, she is the daughter of a truck driver and a cafeteria cook. Lofgren attended public schools in Palo Alto and worked the night shift at the Eastman Kodak plant to support her education. She is married to attorney John Marshall Collins, and they have two children and three grandchildren.
