Biography
Paul Anthony Gosar, born on November 27, 1958, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, is an American politician and former dentist serving as the U.S. Representative for Arizona's 9th congressional district since 2023. A member of the Republican Party, Gosar previously represented Arizona's 4th district from 2013 to 2023 and the 1st district from 2011 to 2013. Throughout his tenure, he has been known for his staunch conservative positions and alignment with far-right politics. Gosar has been a vocal opponent of the Affordable Care Act, abortion rights, gun control measures, and immigration reforms. His political career has been marked by controversies, including his censure by the U.S. House of Representatives in November 2021 for posting a video depicting violence against Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and President Joe Biden.
