Biography
Charles Joseph "Chuck" Fleischmann, born on October 11, 1962, in Manhattan, New York, is a conservative Republican representing Tennessee's 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2011. The district encompasses 10 counties in East Tennessee, including Anderson, Bradley, Campbell, Hamilton, McMinn, Monroe, Morgan, Polk, Roane, and Scott.
Before his political career, Fleischmann co-founded the law firm Fleischmann and Fleischmann in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 1987, where he practiced law for 24 years. He served as president of the Chattanooga Bar Association and chaired the Chattanooga Lawyers Pro Bono Committee.
In Congress, Fleischmann has maintained a 100% pro-life voting record and is a staunch supporter of Second Amendment rights. He serves on the Appropriations Committee, holding positions on the subcommittees for Energy and Water Development, Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Defense. As Chairman of the Energy and Water Development Subcommittee, he oversees funding for national laboratories, nuclear security, and energy independence initiatives.
Fleischmann resides in Ooltewah, Tennessee, with his wife, Brenda, and their three sons: Chuckie, Jamie, and Jeffrey.
