Biography

Daniel Sachs Goldman, born on February 26, 1976, in Washington, D.C., is a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives, serving New York's 10th congressional district since January 3, 2023. Before his election to Congress, Goldman gained national prominence as the lead counsel for the House Intelligence Committee during the first impeachment inquiry against former President Donald Trump in 2019. In this role, he directed the investigation's strategy, led witness depositions, and oversaw the drafting of the comprehensive report detailing the inquiry's findings.

Prior to his congressional service, Goldman had a distinguished career as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York from 2007 to 2017. During this tenure, he focused on prosecuting organized crime and white-collar offenses, including serving as Deputy Chief of the Organized Crime Unit and Senior Trial Counsel in the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force. Notably, he led the prosecution of high-profile cases such as the conviction of sports gambler Billy Walters for insider trading.

In November 2024, Goldman was appointed as Co-chair of the House Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism, succeeding Congresswoman Kathy Manning. In this capacity, he collaborates with colleagues across the aisle to address and combat the rising tide of antisemitism.

Goldman resides in lower Manhattan with his wife, Corinne, and their five children.
