Biography

Ralph Warren Norman Jr., born on June 20, 1953, in York County, South Carolina, is a lifelong resident of the state's 5th congressional district. After graduating from Rock Hill High School in 1971, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Presbyterian College in 1975. Post-graduation, Norman joined his father's construction business, the Warren Norman Company, and played a pivotal role in its growth into one of South Carolina's leading commercial real estate development firms.

Throughout his career, Norman has been actively involved in various community organizations, including the York County Home Builders Association, the Children's Attention Home, the Salvation Army, and the Medical University of South Carolina Board of Visitors. He is married to Elaine Rice Norman, and together they have four children and 17 grandchildren.

Political Experience

  • South Carolina House of Representatives: Served as the representative for District 48 from 2005 to 2007 and again from 2009 to 2017.
