Biography

Pat Ryan, born on March 28, 1982, in Kingston, New York, is a fifth-generation Hudson Valley native and a decorated combat veteran. He currently serves as the U.S. Representative for New York's 18th Congressional District. Ryan is the first West Point graduate to represent the Academy in the U.S. House of Representatives. He served two combat tours in Iraq as an Army intelligence officer, earning two Bronze Stars. Prior to his election to Congress, Ryan served as Ulster County Executive, where he led the county through the COVID-19 pandemic and spearheaded economic revitalization efforts, including the transformation of the former IBM site into iPark 87.
