Biography
Pete Sessions, born on March 22, 1955, in Waco, Texas, is a Republican politician representing Texas's 17th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. Raised in Waco, he attended local public schools before moving to Washington, D.C., when his father, William S. Sessions, began his career at the Department of Justice. William Sessions later served as the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Pete returned to Texas, graduating from Winston Churchill High School in San Antonio. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Southwestern University in 1978. After college, Sessions worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 16 years, retiring as District Manager. He has been actively involved in community service, including leadership roles with the Boy Scouts of America and serving on the Board of Trustees at Southwestern University.

Political Experience
- U.S. House of Representatives: First elected in 1996, Sessions represented Texas's 5th district and 32nd district . After a brief hiatus, he was elected to represent the 17th district in 2021.
